NOPI Hot Rod Chevy Cobalt

Two years ago, Jimenez had his best-season ever as a sport compact competitor after switching over to an Ecotec-powered Chevy Cobalt, posting final-round appearances in both the NDRA and NHRA series. In 2006, Jimenez bolted out of the starting blocks, advancing to the finals at the season-opening event in West Palm Beach, Fla., then scored a runner-up at the NDRA contest in Valdosta, Ga., and later that spring, he captured his first career national-event victory at Atco, N.J. Last year, Jimenez ran a career-best speed of 183.72 mph at Richmond/NHRA, and this season, the driver of the Everyone's Mortgage Chevy Cobalt is confident that the switch from Pro FWD back to HOT ROD will put his car on a more level and competitive playing field. Jimenez' efforts this season in the NOPI HOT ROD category will also give Team Chevy a strong player in another category that promises to be hotly contested.
