New for 2008, accomplished Formula Drift driver Dai Yoshihara joins the Rhys Millen Racing team to pilot the Pontiac GTO Drift car, the same car that won the 2005 Formula Drift championship with Rhys behind the wheel. In 2007, Dai competed in a 425hp, right-hand-drive, turbo-charged car and earned third place overall in Formula Drift. For 2008, he’ll be transitioning to the 550hp, left-hand-drive, V8 GTO. The move could be challenging, but Dai’s years of drifting experience and natural driving talent are sure to put the Pontiac GTO in a familiar spot - the winners’ circle.
