Class: KONI Challenge Series

Holtom returns to the KONI Challenge Series Street Tuner division in 2008 as a driver in the No. 01 Georgian Bay Motorsports Chevrolet Cobalt.  Jamie Holtom is happiest behind the wheel of a race car - and has been since he was eight years old. Completing a joint degree in engineering and economics, Mr. Holtom is pursuing two career paths, one through engineering and one in racing.Then in 2005 he entered the Grand Am KONI Challenge racing in GM Racing's Chevy Cobalt Program. He placed first in his third series race at Mosport, winning again at Mid-Ohio. Mr. Holtom set a number of fastest race laps in these races. Racing is a form of marketing for investors. As a driver, Mr. Holtom acts as a spokesperson for General Motors, and their corporate sponsor Control Microsystems, showcasing the car and representing the two companies.

Career Highlights
2007 - Won two KONI Challenge Series ST races and finished ninth in series points. Also competed in initial Rolex Series GT race.

2006 - Won four KONI Challenge ST events en route to 10th in points.

2005 - Became youngest KONI Challenge ST winner in division history with win at Mosport in debut season of auto racing.

Personal Information and Notes

Holtom, a former multi-time champion in Canadian go-karting, is a student at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, where he is part of the Chemical Engineering program. He enjoys alpine skiing, rock climbing, music and cooking.
