Gardella Racing Tunes Up for NHRA VA
There is always room for improvement and Gardella Racing is no exception to this rule. Once the team got back from the first NHRA event at Moroso we sat down to talk about the improvements that needed to be addressed before the next event in Virgina.
Many of these changes needed to be made in order for me to feel more comfortable as a driver in the racecar.

First, the window net needed to be adjusted and replaced. Second, the door handle was behind the window net which meant that I could not open the door after a run when the net was up. It is these small things that make my job easier.
As for the team, the discussion was around changes that needed to be made on the starting line tune-up. This included the launch RPM, boost, and tire pressure. Further, some modifications needed to be done to the wheelie bars, intercooler, and front lower belly pan.
The crew has worked hard in the past week addressing all of these areas. Now that it is all accomplished we are looking to get more track time for the crew and car and more seat time for me. We headed down to our home track, Atco Speedway, for test sessions; the plan is to have the Chevy Cobalt laying down some consistent ET’s. We know what this car is capable of and we just want to get out there and show the world.
See you guys at the track!
