NHRA Atco and NDRA St. Louis: Two Wins and a Record During a Long Weekend of Racing

It started off on Thursday with Pro FWD driver Gary Gardella facing off against Air Race pilot Kirby Chambliss during the Red Bull Air & Asphalt project (see previous post) and ended with a race event win, two runners-up, and lots of great head-to-head racing.

Two days prior to the NHRA Sport Compact Drag Race here, the two experienced athletes arrived to test the limits of both air and asphalt.

Chambliss’ Zivko EDGE was at a power disadvantage to Gardella’s ECOtec-powered Chevy Cobalt, and so Chambliss was granted a running start. read more...
